December 2, 2018 the Dressage world lost a talented trainer, Amanda Johnson, to breast cancer, at the age of 37. In honor and celebration of her life, Deanna Hertrich and Dr. Kevin Nelson, DVM, are sponsoring the musical freestyle year-end award with WDCTA.

Champion and Reserve will be awarded to the horse & rider combination with the highest average traditional dressage musical freestyle score. Three scores must be submitted, from any levels, USDF and/or FEI.  All registration and eligibility requirements for WDCTA's Traditional Dressage awards apply. Horse & rider must be entered into the WDCTA traditional awards program in the Musical Freestyle category to qualify. Scores are earned during the competition year starting in December.

WDCTA wishes to thank Deanna and Kevin for their generous sponsorship of this award.
