Congratulations to Caryn Vesperman and Diane Brault

The WDCTA state board voted unanimously that Caryn Vesperman and Diane Brault deserved to be recognized for their tireless contributions to WDCTA.

dianebrault
MOY, Diane Brault, our Membership Chairwoman!

Diane was nominated by member Caryn Vesperman. "Diane handles numerous questions about membership, keeps our spreadsheet up to date for the state board and USDF, and comes up with ways to encourage new and existing members to join. She also contributes many articles for the newsletter. She has a “can do” and positive, upbeat attitude too!"

caryn
Caryn Vesperman, eQuester Newsletter Editor extraordinaire!

Caryn has been the newsletter editor for around 30 years, with a break for a couple of years when she was state board president. Besides editing and laying out the newsletter, she writes many of its articles, organizes some of the WDCTA Southwest chapter clinics, designs materials for some of WDCTA’s special events and helps promote them. Caryn was nominated by Mary Hanneman.

"In a recent conversation among Southwest Chapter members, we realized that Caryn has not been recognized, in recent years, for her many, many years of service to WDCTA – both at the SW Chapter and the State level. She is always the one nominating others for THEIR service, offering ideas for educational opportunities and making our club better for members. On the State level, Caryn served as our GMO President for 4 years, representing our interests at the USDF convention, providing visionary leadership and single-handedly organizing the GMO annual meeting. She brought forward the idea to include an annual Education Conference along with WDCTA’s Annual Meeting. Before and after her Presidency, Caryn served as the editor of our GMO newsletter, donating her professional expertise as a marketer and writer to deliver one of the highest quality GMO newsletters in the country. Over the years, she has transformed the newsletter from a basic typed piece into today’s professionally designed, digital communication tool. Our monthly newsletter always comes out on time, if not early! Caryn has also volunteered her time to represent WDCTA at WI State Horse Council meetings, serve on or lead state board committees (such as the Communications Committee). At the chapter level, Caryn’s advice and ideas are sought out by chapter officers for bringing high quality, relevant education to the SW chapter. Just to name a few ways she has contributed on the chapter level: Clinic organizer, symposium committee member, USDF "L" Program committee member, etc. "
